CONZORCIO PER l’INNOVAZIONNE E LA BIOECONOMIA

In.Bio – Consortium for Innovation and Bioeconomy is a private nonprofit research organization founded in 2006; its members are:

  • the National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development – ENEA (49.50 %);
  • Knowledge, Research, Development S.r.l. – C.R.S. (28.44 %);
  • Italian Biomass Association – ITABIA (11.76 %);
  • Institute for University Cooperation – ICU (10.30 %).

In.Bio’s primary purpose is the promotion and development of RTD&D initiatives in the areas of enabling technologies and their application areas, bioenergy and green chemistry, circular bioeconomy and international cooperation.

In PROTEIN4IMPACT, In.Bio participates in WP1 by supporting dissemination, communication, exploitation, and quality assurance for value chain stakeholders in collaboration with GG. They also contribute to WP3, conducting flavor assessments and human panel food acceptability tests with UOH, and WP5, organizing training and capacity-building events for the agrifood sector. In WP6, In.Bio performs technical and economic evaluations of protein production cycles, aiming for energy efficiency and full material recovery.
