8th International ISEKI-Food Conference
Place: Faro, Portugal
The 8th International ISEKI-Food Conference will take place on 1–3 June 2026 at the University of Algarve in Faro, Portugal. The conference focuses on Innovation in Research and Education for the transition to sustainable food systems, supporting the shift toward sustainable and resilient food systems. The conference will bring together scientists, professionals, and students from academia and industry worldwide.
Technical sessions will address three core areas:
- education and training,
- research and technological innovation,
- and responsible food production and consumption.
The project coordinator Pedro Augusto from CS aims to present results on extrusion processing of brewer’s spent grains (BSG) toward protein recovery, showcasing how food industry side-streams can be transformed into valuable ingredients within a circular bioeconomy.
